Coffee, The Park and Turtles

Last Saturday Josh was in a board meeting and the kids and I had nothing to do so we decided to explore the neighborhood early Saturday morning.

Our first stop was Black & Brew a local coffee/cafe.  We got coffee, a vegan granola bar, and a bagel.  YUM!  The Granola bar was actually very yummy!  We ate outside per Katy's request, and when we finished we moved to the Passyunk (PASSHH-UNK) Ave fountain where the kids tossed in a ton of pennies and I enjoyed my coffee in the sweet morning air, I'm not kidding South Philly wasn't smelly that morning.

Then we moved to Urban Jungle Garden Shop and bought some gardening supplies for home and found some really neat things we liked too.  After here we walked up to the Italian Market we got a bunch of veggies and fruits for a fraction of the price as the grocery store, and we stopped by a tiny pet store.

By then it was time for lunch and we stop by Sarcone's Deli where the kids and I got a regular turkey and cheese provolone hoagie.  Which tasted pretty awesome.  We also got the house made potato salad which both Zechariah and I loved.  We ate it at the park picnic style.  The kids ran around and came by for a bite here and there they loved that too.

On our way back home we walked back through the Market and the kids got a baby red-eared turtle.  His name is Sparky and Katy loves having her very own pet.

We had a great day!  Enjoy the pictures!
